Warehouse Manager

Full time

The company is seeking a highly energetic, talented and motivated Warehouse Manager with experience in the Pharmaceutical industry to manage and operate a 80,000 sq ft warehouse.

The individual will be responsible for managing all operations of a newly set up warehouse. He will lead a team consisting of supervisors and pickers to receive, manage and ship products as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

The person will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Hire and build a team for all aspects of warehouse operations
  • Define shifts and responsibilities for each team member
  • Manage receiving, put away and shipping functions carried out throughout the day
  • Establish and monitor timecard procedures
  • Handle regulatory aspects related to warehousing pharmaceuticals
  • Write, maintain and follow documentation of warehouse procedures
  • Train warehouse staff, both for new hires and ongoing employee development
  • Report operational metrics to senior management, as well as any regulatory reporting requirements related to pharmaceuticals
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse facilities
  • Work with supply chain to put contracts in place for transportation

Qualifications & Competencies

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience
  • Prior experience in a Pharmaceutical Company
  • Familiarity in all aspects of warehousing including OSHA guidelines
  • People management skills
  • Experience working with various modes of transportation used for shipping
  • Experience working with Indian pharmaceutical companies is a plus, since this position involves interacting with our partners in the India
  • Ability to conduct in-depth discussions and solve problems regarding healthcare purchasing with internal and external customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention to details. Has the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Must be able to communicate professionally, effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Products
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics ERP a plus.
